Making Montgomery County Literate Again!
Join Germantown Global Connection in bringing early elementary school literacy rates back up to first world levels.
Our Literacy Tutoring program has paired adult volunteer tutors with struggling 2nd graders for on-on-one tutoring twice a week throughout the 2022–2023 academic year. And, the results are astounding:
“Marian was not reading very well– it took a lot for her to read. Now she reads her books and asks me questions about it and we interact more as a family.”
“Jacob is improving significantly, not only his reading but his behavior. It has helped us as parents as well.”
“Alejandro is on grade level for 3rd grade!!! I feel it’s because of this program. And his speech is a lot better so he may only need one day of speech therapy for a shorter period of time than he used to get. I am very happy about it.”
Your contribution of $5, $25, $50, or $100 provides the supplies and the training for 25 of the lowest performing 2nd graders in Montgomery Village to get on-on-one tutoring.
