Holiday Drivers Needed!
From 5:00 pm to 7:00 pmCAN YOU TAKE SOME HOLIDAY MEALS TO HOMES IN THE EVENING NEXT WEEK? The Black Rock Food Hub is delivering Holiday meals to those families who continue to need all the help they can get as this pandemic continues to ravage jobs, incomes, and health of our most vulnerable Upper Montgomery County families. We have committed to twelve (12) drivers on Wednesday, Dec. 23 to show up by 5:15 p.m., pick up no more than four (4) family packs of food, and deliver to a home in the Germantown vicinity. MANY OF YOU HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO DRIVE DURING THE DAY. THIS IS YOUR BIG CHANCE! IT’S A ONE-TIME NEED. SIGN UP HERE Come to the parking lot behind Black Rock Arts Center (see address) as soon after 5:00 p.m. on Nov. 24th as you can. Drivers must: Have their own vehicle Be able to drive at night Be able to pick up and carry medium-sized boxes Be able to deliver all food packs to residences (usual turnaround time: 1 hour) You are more than welcome to bring family members along to help. KIDS CAN HELP TOO! Food packs are placed on doorstep – social distancing enforced! Once you’ve delivered all your food packs to your residences, you’re done! Let’s give thanks through our actions!
