Composting Workshop

2020-12-05 15:00 2020-12-05 16:30 Europe/London Composting Workshop

In this time of great uncertainty, there is much beyond our control. Countless things we can NOT do, the list is long. Yet, the simple, profound act of taking our food scraps and composting them into good soil is something we CAN do, something we have the power to change.   You are invited to join a composting workshop led by Susan Drilea, Saturday, December 5th  from  3- 4:30 pm through the Zoom link below.   Susan Drilea has been an avid gardener for most of her life and has composted for over 30 years. She reads extensively about composting, conservation landscaping, and organic, sustainable, and regenerative gardening. She has installed conservation landscape designs, native plant gardens, and rain gardens. She co-manages a 2,000 sq.ft. community garden and composting program on the grounds of Rockville United Church and serves with the Earth Care Network of the National Capital Presbytery. Along with Earthen Hands, Susan assisted high school seniors, Abby Gordon and Aditya Nathela with their Global Ecology Senior Composting Project at Dayspring.     This workshop is sponsored by Earthen Hands at Dayspring, the Earth Care Network of the National Capital Presbytery, and Eighth Day Community. You are invited to attend: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81481457654 Meeting ID: 814 8145 7654 Passcode: 2405
